Job Description
Title: Respiratory Therapist II - Respiratory Therapy
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Requirements:
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist
- Experience in critical care areas
- Knowledge of protocol ventilator management
- Ability to deliver patient care in complex patient situations
- Skills in patient, family, and support system education
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and implement respiratory care based on knowledge and experience.
- Deliver patient care in critical care settings with significant independent decision-making.
- Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory care and management.
- Participate in the development and education of new staff and assist in professional development activities.
- Address the biological, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients and their families while providing care.
Compliance / Notes:
- Participation in orientation and ongoing training may be required.
- Background checks and drug screening may be necessary.
