You understand the space can be demanding and you ensure you have the tools and resources to get the job done.Responsibilities Inspect overhead power lines for proper vegetation clearanceActively identify tree riskPerform inspection and work verification on pre- and post-inspection and post-tree-trimming workDocument information for the client's vegetation management programInspect and assess trees for hazard or danger potentialAudit tree contractor\'s work for compliance with client specifications and needsAssist in storm and emergency situations and other miscellaneous line clearance projectsCommunicate daily with the client, contractors, landowners, and the publicPerform duties in a manner that promotes and maintains good public relationsAssume other duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field requiredISA Certified Arborist preferred but not requiredPesticide license preferred but not requiredUtility Specialist certification is a plusCertified Tree Safety Professional (CTSP) is a plusExperience in Forestry, Arboriculture, or Horticulture is a plusMust possess regional tree identification skills and the ability to read mapsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, multitasking ability, and attention to detailAbility to work alone outdoors in various weather conditions and terrainSkilled with technology; basic computer and smartphone skillsHighly organized, self-motivated, and customer-service orientedCapable of operating a 4x4 vehicle on rough roadsBilingual (English and Spanish) is a plusPhysical Demands, Conditions, Work Environment The physical demands, conditions, and work environment characteristics described here must be met to perform essential functions.
