Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED RN)

Job ID:26-16293 Pay Range: $50 - $55/hour. Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule: Night shifts – 36 hours expected per week
- Duration: 8 weeks (06/15/2026 – 08/08/2026)
- Perform rapid triage and comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with emergent conditions across the lifespan (adults and pediatrics).
- Administer medications, initiate IVs, manage wounds, and assist with procedures as needed.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and neurological status; respond to changes promptly.
- Coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff for seamless patient flow.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR (EPIC).
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medications, and follow up care.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and ED best practices.
- Participate in trauma activations and emergency response as part of the care team.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Must have skills: - Registered Nurse, RN, Emergency Department, ED, BLS, ACLS, PALS, Large Facility Experience
- Active RN License (GA or Compact State)
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required – conditional compliance allowed if proven in process)
- TNCC and/or ENPC certifications (preferred)
- Minimum 4 years of well rounded experience caring for adult and pediatric patients in an emergency setting
- Large facility experience required; Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work night shifts (schedule varies), 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Both local and travel candidates considered – local candidates eligible to apply
- Candidate profile must include all demographic info, including a badge appropriate photo
- Excellent rapid assessment and triage decision making
- Proficiency in emergency procedures, IV therapy, and resuscitation protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork under pressure
- Compassionate, patient first mindset even in crisis situations
- Ability to handle high acuity, high volume, and fast patient turnover
- Adaptable to adult and pediatric populations
