Job Summary Responsible for creating solutions for business problems using data mining and analytics. Leverage innovative analytical techniques to uncover patterns and trends in data. Utilize data visualizations to socialize actionable and implementable insights with business partners, including marketing, sales, and supply chain.Preferred Qualifications Advanced SQL (Snowflake) – complex queries, data transformation, optimizationStrong Supply Chain Operations (SC Ops) knowledgeTableau – dashboarding and data visualizationExperience with transportation data (domestic & import)Ability to analyze large datasets and deliver actionable insightsResponsibilities Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to manage data logistics, including data transfers, data structures, and business rules to enable project executionUtilizes data modeling/analysis techniques to mine systems and applications for knowledge and information that supports the enhancement of business processesBuilds, deploys, and maintains data support tools, metadata inventories and definitions for database file/table creationProvides analytical solutions to business problemsReviews quality assurance/quality control data and project output for accuracyCreates compelling presentations that provide actionable insights and recommendationsParticipates in reporting presentations to key internal and external stakeholdersCommunicates key findings and recommendationsManages multiple projects concurrently and prioritizes and monitors project timelines and scopesNature and Scope Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process. Provides general guidance or direction to or trains junior level support or professional personnel.Work Environment Located in a comfortable indoor area. The environment is typically seated; frequent opportunity to move about. Rare occasions may need to move or lift light articles. Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Education and Experience Required: BS/BA in a related discipline. Typically 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience.
