Please note that this position will require travel for training to the Central Ohio area.What You'll DoInstall, terminate, label, and verify low-voltage control wiring per drawings and specificationsRead and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, electrical single-lines, and network diagramsInstall devices such as sensors, controllers, meters, gateways, and network switchesConfigure devices using a laptop and approved toolsSet and verify addressing, firmware versions, and network settingsPerform point-to-point checks, functional testing, and support system startupsTroubleshoot power, signal, and communication issuesRepair or replace devices, sensors, and wiring as directedCoordinate with commissioning agents, leads, and engineers to resolve punch itemsCommunicate RFI needs to your Lead when drawings or scope require clarificationDocument installs, test results, and configuration details in Procore and required templatesTrack materials, maintain inventory for upcoming work, and flag needs to field leadershipFollow OSHA requirements and lockout/tagout when applicableSupport final inspections, turnover documentation, and quality control processesWhat You'll BringHigh school diploma or GED1+ year of experience in controls, low voltage electrical, electrical installation, or related technical tradeWorking knowledge of basic electrical theory and safe work practicesBasic networking knowledge (IP addressing, subnet masks, switching)Ability to read prints, wiring diagrams, single-lines, and network diagramsComfort using a laptop for configuration, communication checks, and firmware updatesStrong documentation skills using Procore and digital templatesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelClear communication and dependable teamworkPreferred Qualifications2–4 years of field experience in controls installation, BMS, EPMS, or power monitoringFamiliarity with Distech, Tridium/Niagara, or similar BMS platformsIgnition Basic certification or Niagara experienceTechnical certification or post-secondary training in electrical, controls, or ITExperience supporting commissioning activities on construction sitesPython scripting familiarity for data-collection projects (project dependent)Why Join JSETCompetitive pay401(k) with employer matchHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offTraining and mentorship for long-term growthWork Environment And Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 60 lbsAbility to climb ladders, work from lifts, and wear PPE for the full shiftWork in active construction and data center environments with noise and temperature swingsVisual ability to distinguish wire colors and read terminal labelsValid driver's license and reliable transportationMust be 18 years or olderTake the next step in your careerJoin JSET Automated Technologies and help deliver safe, clean, well-documented controls installations on mission-critical projects.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
