All Coastal Health District County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
This is a part-time hourly position, not eligible for benefits. Job Responsibilities Under direct supervision, provides assistance to Public Health Nurses and county programs.
Work in our Fast Track immunization department. This role is responsible for administering vaccines to patients across the life span and providing appropriate documentation afterwards.
Job Responsibilities
1. Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
2. Administers prescribed medications, immunizations
3. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans
4. Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records
5. Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients responses and conditions.
6. Monitors and records all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity
7. Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in clients' conditions
8. Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments
9. Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained
10. Provides education to client and family
Minimum Qualifications Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college and current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse and CPR certification and completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN.
