A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Tele Job Details: • 1:5-6 patient ratio during days and nights, 1:6 on weekends in a 32-bed unit • Typically every other weekend schedule with permanent staff scheduled first • Maximum 7 days RTO per contract • Navy blue scrubs required • Floating required to like units within facility/scope of practice • Call is rare with 2-hour response time requirement • Holiday work required based on contract length (1-2 holidays if fall during assignment) • Must have prior travel experience and 1 year minimum nursing experience • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS • Must have experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips • Epic charting system preferred with Pyxis and SBAR protocols • Telemetry competency exam required • Care for adult to geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, arrhythmias, CHF, chest pain, post cardiac catheterization, and medical/surgical overflow patients • Manage TR bands, basic arrhythmia knowledge, hemodynamic monitoring required • Work with RT 24/7 for high flow and BiPap support • All RTO must be finalized at time of submission with no schedule changes post-offer Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed cardiac telemetry unit that serves as overflow for IMCU patients.
