Junior Accountant

The objective of the position is to provide support to the accounting team by recording daily financial transactions, assisting with reconciliations, and ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This role is responsible for helping with the month-end closing process, preparing journal entries, and supporting the senior accountant with financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Review and process vendor invoices verifying supporting documentation.
- Ensure proper coding of vendor invoices into the appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolving any discrepancies in collaboration with all departments.
- Help maintain vendor records and set up new vendors in the accounting system, ensuring compliance with internal controls and vendor management policies.
- Track and process credit card transactions and employee expense reports for the holding company.
- Ensure the allocation of overhead and payroll expenses across all business units.
- Report and request approval for necessary reimbursements for each business unit.
- Provide a weekly report of payments to be processed.
Requirements
- Advanced English.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in General Ledger Bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of GAAP, accounts payable/receivable processes, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems, preferably QuickBooks.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
