Schedule/Hours:
- Must be flexible with shift assignments (no block schedules)
- No requested time off (RTO)
Qualifications: - Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, specifically with high acuity cases
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC Electronic Medical Records
- Comfortable caring for patients with neuro, trauma surgical, gunshot injuries, spinal cord injuries, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
- Willingness and ability to adapt to dynamic, high-acuity environments
Responsibilities: - Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care for a diverse patient population including surgical, spinal, and neuro trauma cases
- Collaborate with a supportive nursing team, Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretary (nights)
- Maintain a 5:1 patient ratio
- Participate in comprehensive nurse handoffs with the admitting unit and ED nurse
- Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC
