The Retail Pharmacist shall plan, organize, and supervise all pharmaceutical and financial activities occurring in his/her respective pharmacy. Such proceedings shall comply with the policies and procedures established by the WellStar Health System, federal, state and local laws governing the practice of pharmacy, and the rules and standards established by the regulatory agencies (e.g. JACHO, Medicare, etc) involved in provision of health care. He/ She shall function under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services. Participates in policy and procedure development regarding improvements, and departmental operating systems and procedures. Responsible for Control Medication Storage and Tracking to Include, but not limited to: outdate tracking, pharmacy's inventory, controlled substance inventory control.
