Required Skills:
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or ARC-BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid RN license in a single state or multi-state compact (RN-COMPACT)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Proficient computer skills to support clinical workflows
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond decisively to emergencies
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
- Prior ER or emergency care experience
- Additional certifications such as PALS, TNCC, ACLS, or ATCN
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (minimum required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience in a healthcare setting
Other Requirements:
- Night shift availability from 3PM to 3AM
- Willingness to work varied days, including weekends (minimum every other weekend) and holidays (minimum 2 major, 2 minor)
- On-call responsibilities (24-hour call every 8 weeks)
- Must have or be willing to obtain listed certifications if currently unavailable
- A completed Wellstar cover sheet is required for each submission
- Certification and licensure must be current or in process
