A leading food manufacturing company is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team at its Cambridge, MD facility. This is a hands-on, second-shift leadership role where you'll be on the floor with your team, troubleshooting equipment, making repairs, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.
The right person will be a strong problem solver who can stay calm under pressure, think quickly when equipment goes down, and make smart decisions in a fast-paced production environment. You'll play a key role in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and developing your maintenance team.
You'll supervise and support the maintenance team on second shift, prioritize repairs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate preventive maintenance. You'll also help with emergency repairs, root cause analysis, safety inspections, documentation, and continuous improvement.
This is a working supervisor role, so you'll spend significant time on the production floor alongside your technicians. You'll need to be comfortable working in a clean manufacturing/food production environment and following strict safety and quality standards.
What You Need:
3-5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing or an industrial environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.
Experience leading and developing maintenance technicians.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to remain calm and effective during equipment breakdowns and production emergencies.
Comfortable working hands-on and troubleshooting repairs yourself.
Experience working in a clean manufacturing environment

Compensation: $95k-$114k
