Position Overview
The client is seeking an experienced
IT Trainer & Content Developer to deliver end-user training on custom and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications across desktop, web, and mobile platforms.
This role involves developing high-quality instructional materials, hosting remote and on-premise training sessions (including periodic travel to District 1-Gainesville and District 2-Tennille, GA), administering courses via Oracle/Workday LMS, and engaging directly with Client business units.
Key Responsibilities - Training Delivery: Conduct live virtual classes via MS Teams, on-premise classroom training, and webinars on custom client applications and COTS software for adult learners.
- Content Development: Design, build, and maintain training content including PowerPoint presentations, Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), User Manuals, Trainer Guides, Storyboards, Videos, and Computer-Based Training (CBT).
- LMS Administration: Publish course offerings, manage user enrollments, proctor testing, assign grades/scoring, award certifications, and process post-training surveys.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across business units and IT teams to identify training needs, boost course enrollment, and address technical gaps.
- Travel & Onsite Coordination: Travel several times a month to client District and Area Office locations (reimbursable per SAO policy) to set up training labs and deliver classes.
Mandatory Requirements & Key QualificationsRequired Experience & Education: - Education: BA/BS in Communications, Teaching, IT, or related field (OR Associate's Degree + 2 yrs IT experience OR IT Certifications + 4 yrs IT experience).
- 4+ Years: Hands-on work experience in IT technical training, software applications, technology, or end-user support.
- 5+ Years: Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
- 5+ Years: Excellent verbal and written English communication, presentation, and classroom instruction skills.
- 1+ Years: Ability and willingness to travel within the State of Georgia for scheduled in-person training.
Highly Desired Skills: - 4+ Years: Developing role-based end-user training content for IT software/systems.
- 2+ Years: Instructional design, visual design, storyboarding, scriptwriting for audio/video.
- 2+ Years: Hands-on experience with Articulate 360 / Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and TechSmith Camtasia.
- 1+ Years: Microsoft Teams for virtual learning delivery.
- 1+ Years: Training record maintenance within an LMS (Oracle LMS, Cornerstone, or Workday LMS preferred).
- Nice to Have: Familiarity with ServiceNow.
