Title: Physical Therapist Evaluates and treats children with physical disabilities to enhance school access. Educates staff and parents on proper care techniques and assists in acquiring mobility aids. Works independently with minimal supervision, applying intermediate-level knowledge to provide care for students.
Essential Job Duties • Evaluates and treats children with special physical needs.
• Educates staff and family members on patient care, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge to support treatment plans.
• Documents each patient's progress and adapts treatment plans as required, maintaining meticulous records of patient care.
• Orders equipment and assistive devices as needed for patients, making modifications to processes to enhance performance within the department.
• Writes comprehensive reports that accurately reflect patient care activities and outcomes.
• Maintains records diligently, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and reflects any changes in treatment or patient status.
• Ensures that all activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and ensures continuity of services for patients.
• Identifies problems and resolves moderately complex issues related to patient care and therapy protocols.
• Makes minor modifications to processes to enhance the performance of the department as appropriate.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in Physical Therapy education
required.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in general physical therapy practice
required.
• Valid physical therapy license issued by the State of Georgia
required.
