Job Description Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room is needed to provide expert perioperative care. The role involves collaborating with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and successful procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' health status and prepare them for surgery.
- Scrub in and assist with sterile techniques during surgical procedures.
- Circulate during surgeries to monitor patient comfort and safety.
- Administer prescribed medications and anesthesia as directed by medical staff.
- Document all perioperative patient care activities accurately.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain sterile environment standards.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid RN license with current credentials.
- Possess at least 2 years of recent OR experience in surgery centers or hospital settings.
- Obtain and maintain AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Have experience with orthopedic, bariatric, general, and plastics surgeries.
- Ability to scrub and circulate effectively during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
