Job Description Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Deliver direct patient care, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes.
- Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
- Educate patients and families about their health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate effective care.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid RN license and current registration.
- Hold a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
- Obtain AHA BLS and NIH certifications; AHA ACLS preferred.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Able to work varied shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
- Comply with all hospital and regulatory requirements.
