Assistant General Counsel, International TradeThe Assistant General Counsel, International Trade leverages deep knowledge and expertise of the international trade landscape to help ensure Intuitive's compliance with global trade laws, rules, and regulations. The role is responsible for tracking developments in law, providing practical legal guidance, monitoring policies and procedures, providing training and education, conducting internal investigations, and supporting audits in the areas of export, import, and customs compliance, trade sanctions, investment restrictions, and third-party screenings. The candidate will be a key member of the Corporate and Compliance team within the Legal Department and closely collaborate with Supply Chain, GPA, Regulatory, EMS, Facilities, and Trade stakeholders.Essential job duties include serving as lead counsel on U.S. and global trade regimes and issues, supporting the internal third-party management program, providing guidance and input on the trade compliance program, monitoring geopolitical developments, coordinating with various teams during due diligence, preparing and advising on trade compliance policies, developing and delivering legal and compliance training, conducting trade-related risk assessments and investigations, and selecting and supervising outside counsel on trade-related projects.Required skills and experience include a minimum of eight years of legal experience, a J.D. and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state, significant experience interpreting and applying U.S. and international regulations, exceptional organizational skills, strong writing, presentation, and oral communication skills, and the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of cross-functional processes. Some travel will be required.Required education and training include a BS/BA and JD degree.
