A respected Atlanta law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with approximately 2–8 years of litigation experience to join its insurance defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop greater responsibility within a sophisticated litigation practice while working alongside experienced and well-regarded attorneys.The position offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Atlanta, Georgia.ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Attorney will manage a varied caseload of insurance defense matters and participate in all phases of litigation. Responsibilities will include:Managing cases from initial assignment through resolutionDrafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and discovery responsesConducting legal research and preparing case analysesTaking and defending depositionsAttending hearings, mediations, and court proceedingsWorking with clients, insureds, experts, witnesses, and opposing counselEvaluating liability, damages, and potential exposurePreparing timely and substantive reports for clients and insurance carriersDeveloping case strategies and pursuing efficient, favorable resolutionsAssisting with trial preparation and participating in trials as experience permitsQualificationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law schoolActive and in-good-standing membership with the State Bar of GeorgiaApproximately 2–8 years of civil litigation experienceInsurance defense experience preferred, although attorneys with other relevant litigation backgrounds will be consideredExperience handling written discovery, depositions, hearings, and motion practiceStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skillsAbility to manage competing deadlines and maintain an organized caseloadProfessional communication skills and a client-service-oriented approachAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyThe firm offers a collegial and professional environment, meaningful hands-on litigation experience, direct client interaction, and opportunities for continued professional development.
