Paralegal – Guardianship & Conservatorship (with Probate & Estate Planning Support)LocationAtlanta, GAPosition TypeFull-Time, In-Office PositionSchedule & LocationFull-time, 40 hours per weekMonday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMThis is an in-office position at our main office location based in Atlanta, GAOccasional overtime may be requiredPrimary Responsibilities – Guardianship & ConservatorshipPrepare and file petitions for adult guardianship and conservatorship in Georgia probate courts, specifically metro Atlanta countiesManage timelines, court deadlines, and correspondence related to guardianship casesCoordinate and track service of process, court hearings, and court-ordered evaluationsWork directly with clients and their families to gather necessary documentation and provide updatesMaintain organized and detailed electronic case files in a paperless systemCommunicate professionally and compassionately with clients during emotionally challenging timesAnticipate and elevate time-sensitive or urgent legal issues appropriatelyEnsure compliance with court rules, filing procedures, and firm protocolsSecondary Responsibilities – Probate & Estate PlanningAssist with the preparation and filing of probate petitions and related documents in Georgia probate courts, specifically metro Atlanta countiesDraft standard estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorneySupport attorneys in proofreading documents for accuracyMaintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing client communicationQualificationsSome college required; degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in a law firm setting, handling adult guardianship and conservatorship mattersExperience with probate and estate planning is a plusProficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, and Mac OSFamiliarity with Daylite, WealthCounsel, or ElderCounsel is beneficialHigh level of attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectivelyExceptional written and verbal communication skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
