This State of Georgia role is integral to ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory frameworks within a single geographic location. This position operates within an in-house compliance team and reports directly to the Legal department. It involves maintaining rigorous oversight through quarterly audits and ongoing monitoring to mitigate risk and uphold policy standards in mortgage lending.
Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory compliance related to mortgage lending
- Review and update internal policies to align with current regulations
- Conduct quarterly compliance audits
- Assess risks and identify compliance gaps
- Prepare and submit compliance reports
- Develop and deliver staff training on compliance matters
- Maintain thorough documentation of compliance activities
- Resolve compliance issues promptly and effectively
- Stay informed on regulatory updates affecting mortgage lending
- Analyze relevant compliance data to support decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in mortgage compliance
- Associate degree in Business or a related discipline
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and mortgage lending regulations
- Familiarity with risk management and internal auditing processes
- Strong attention to detail
