PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE - Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
REQUIRED PROCEDURES - Central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, introducers)
- Arterial line insertions
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Board: Acute Care Certified (ACNP) or PA with valid licensure
- Licenses: Active Georgia NP or PA license required
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of ICU experience as an APP
- Other Qualifications: Proficiency with ICU procedures – specifically central and arterial line insertions; case logs will be requested during credentialing
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage critically-ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting (APP to patient ratio 10-15).
- Collaborate with attending MDs to develop plan of care and communicate dynamic changes.
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
- Order entry (Cerner EMR) and thorough documentation of History and Physicals, Consultations, Event/Follow-up Notes and Procedure Notes.
- Perform invasive procedures including central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, introducers) and arterial line insertions.
