Billing and Collections Specialist FullTime Cumming, GA, US4 days ago Requisition ID: 1046The Billing and Collections Specialist will prepare service and installation project invoices for customers, maintain the accounts receivable, and follow up with customers for collecting payments. We are looking for a multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Must be detailed oriented with a great customer service focus.Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare customer invoices in a timely and accurate mannerCommunicate with field service technicians to verify work order information, labor hours, and materials used prior to invoicingResearch and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues in a timely mannerApply customer payments and reconcile account balancesContact customers regarding past-due accounts through phone, email, and written correspondence while maintaining positive customer relationshipsCollaborate with other internal departments to resolve invoicing and payment concernsPerform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable dataPerform monthly reconciliations and assist with month-end close processPrepare reports and analyses of customer accounts and outstanding balancesPropose and participate in efforts to improve processesQualification requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus1 – 3 years of previous billing and accounts receivable experienceStrong communication and customer service skillsProficiency in MS OfficeExperience with accounting or ERP software preferredHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentialityExcellent Analytical, Problem Solving, and Decision-making skillsFull time positions qualify for benefits including health insurance, 401k, vacation, and sick pay.We are a small company and offer a pleasant and relaxed work environment within the city limits of Cumming.
