With McDermott, you can live a life you love both in and outside of the office.Job Description Coordinate with clients and McDermott team members to prepare new trademark applications and other prosecution documents.Communicate with foreign associates on initial filing requests and other correspondence during the prosecution of foreign applications.Prepare substantive arguments in response to official correspondence from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and coordinate with foreign counsel on responses to official correspondence from foreign trademark offices for trademark applications.Provide substantive assistance in enforcement matters, both in the U.S. and in foreign jurisdictions, including preparing complaints, notices of opposition, and petitions to cancel.Prepare and file domain name complaints, takedown requests and other filings related to online infringement and enforcement.Draft license agreements, assignments, and other trademark-related transactional documents.Provide substantive assistance with regard to transactions involving the licensing, acquisition and disposition of intellectual property assets, including conducting due diligence and preparing transaction-related documents and revisions thereto.Review and revise intellectual property provisions in agreements (including, for example, purchase agreements and service agreements).Review trademark docket deadlines and reminders; oversee accuracy and necessary follow-up on daily docket entries; maintain portfolios with supervising attorneys.Assist with trademark searches, including initial screening searches and comprehensive trademark searches.Job Requirements At least 5 years of trademark-specific work experience Candidates will need to be barred, and in good standing in the state in which they practiceKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and experience with AI tools and the USPTO's AI platform TTAB discovery experience is preferred Knowledge of trademark search softwarePursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000.
