Unifi seeks an experienced employment attorney to join its growing legal team and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. In this role, you will provide daily legal guidance to company operators and corporate teams, manage litigation and outside counsel, train employees, and support the legal team on a variety of employment matters. This position will also collaborate frequently with HR and leadership teams on strategic planning. The Unifi Legal Department provides shared legal services to several affiliated entities of its parent company.
This position is assigned to work in Atlanta, Georgia, with a hybrid in-office and at-home arrangement. Occasional travel will be required (<10% travel).
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop programs, policies, and practices to ensure that the Company complies with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements throughout its operations.

Train HR professionals and leaders on best practices for investigations, accommodations, privilege, discrimination, wage and hour, pay equity, recruiting, terminations, and other employment-law-related topics.

Provide counsel and guidance to HR and Operations regarding complex employee relations issues, including workplace investigations, wage and hour compliance, accommodation and leave requests, termination decisions, and numerous other employment-related matters.

Track and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and ordinances, and advise and educate key personnel, including senior management, on important changes.

Draft, review, revise, update, maintain, and disseminate policies and procedures necessary to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
