Patient Population
- STEMI
- NSTEMI
- Chest Pain (C/P)
- Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) patients
- Cardiac telemetry patients
Unit Details
- Float to all PCU/IMCU units
- May also float to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower-acuity patients
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3–4
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMCU experience in a similar-sized acute care hospital
- Experience caring for cardiac patient populations
- Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring
- Experience managing the following cardiac drips:
- Milrinone
- Dobutamine
- Pressors (vasopressors)
