Overview The Public Safety Manager will be responsible for directing public safety officers and the general administration work in planning, organizing and directing the activities of the Cobb Convention Center Public Safety Department. Additionally, the Public Safety Manager shall be responsible to ensure the operational policies and procedures are adhered to and assist the Senior Manager with the yearly revision of policies and procedures. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Public Safety and Security.Responsibilities Direct and oversee public safety officers; manage general administrative tasks associated with planning, organizing, and directing the Cobb Convention Center Public Safety Department; ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures; assist the Senior Manager with annual revisions of policies and procedures.Qualifications Minimum three (3) years experience at a supervisory level in a law enforcement agency or private security program.Minimum high school education or equivalent. College degree preferred, law enforcement major or related field. Additional years experience may substitute for college on a two-to-one basis (2 years experience = 1 year of college).Experience in dealing with the public under normal and abnormal conditions and in working under emergency conditions (e.g., accidents, civic disturbance, bomb threats).Thorough knowledge of the Civil and Criminal codes of the state of Georgia and legal terminology and court procedures.Possess a valid Georgia Driver's License and meet insurance requirements from the company carrier.Obtain a Cobb County Alcohol permit.#J-18808-Ljbffr
