Your future begins here!Summary/Objectives This position assists the Mortgage Banker as a point of contact for customers, builders, and realtors during the application process and supports the Mortgage Banker in their effort to increase production volume for the area as directed by the MOL. It ensures compliance with SouthState Bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other operating procedures, completes compliance training, adheres to all anti‑money laundering guidelines and procedures, and meets all regulatory requirements.Essential Functions Assist the Mortgage Banker as a point of contact for customers, builders, and realtors during the application process.Support the Mortgage Banker in their effort to increase production volume for the area as directed by the banker.Track loans through closing, answering customer questions regarding status of files and underwriting requirements.Perform other related administrative duties as needed and/or assigned.Accept and perform other duties that are determined to be essential.Competencies Attention to detail.Customer Service.Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience: Previous experience with FHA, State Housing Conventional, and FNMA/FMLAC loans is preferred.Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Excellent communication and PC skills required along with strong written and verbal skills.Training Requirements/Classes Required annual compliance training.Physical Demands Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer, which can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.Work Environment Telecommuting roles, whether hybrid or 100% full‑time telecommuting, must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by cellular data (hot spot) is required; cable or fiber connections are preferred.
