Position PurposeAct as an internal consultant to the Store Operations organization. Associate must have the foundation of core project management skills with an added level of analytical prowess, the ability to story tell, and act as the connective tissue in/out of the Store Operations organization. Expectations for an internal consultant consists of improving organization effectiveness, facilitating client learning, building consensus commitment, assisting with implementation, providing requested information, providing solution to the given problem, conducting diagnosis that may redefine the problem, and providing recommendations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Project Teams of Analysts and other associatesPerform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilizationProduce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsorsBuild skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors.Direct Manager / Direct ReportsTypically reports to Store Operations Process Manager or Store Operations Business Manager (or Sr. Managers)No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).Travel RequirementsTypically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Physical RequirementsMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Working ConditionsLocated in a comfortable indoor area.
