We promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidence-based psychotherapy and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments on new, existing clients and/or hospital discharges for those experiencing behavioral health disorders (MH, SUD), which may also include IDD co-occurringConducts and assists with Crisis Interventions, executing 1013/2013s and collaborating with local hospitals for placementWork with clients to develop SMART and recovery-based treatment plansProvide short-term individual and group therapy using evidence-based therapies for clients with mental illnessAssist clients in identifying, developing, and sustaining natural support systemsProvide psychoeducation to clients and families around mental health, substance use, trauma, recoveryCollaborate with other behavioral health and physical health providers to holistically address client needsComplete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs)Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate regarding shared clients, build and practice new skills, and stay up to date on agency administrative informationParticipate in clinical supervision to increase competence and professional developmentParticipate in on-call rotation to provide after-hour coverage, via phoneCompletes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervisorPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the supervisorOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsMaster's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other related approved “helping profession” discipline leading to licensureAssociate licensure as an LAPC or LMSW requiredOne (1) year of supervised experience in behavioral health (ST-Supervisee Trainee candidates are not eligible for this position).
