To learn more about the practice, please visit our website at www.uniteddigestive.com/all-careers/.General Summary of Duties Responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in hospital, and receives training and direction from practice physicians.Primary location: Float for Piedmont & Emory HospitalsPiedmont: Atlanta and HenryEmory: Midtown, Johns Creek, Dekalb, and St. JosephThe role includes a shared weekend call rotation, with coverage required approximately every sixth weekend.Responsibilities Completing inpatient hospital coverage and rounds at the hospitalAccurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or proceduresDictating for hospital consults performedAnswering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient mannerAbiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient informationRequired Education, Skills, and Experience Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner. GI experience preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply.
