Job DescriptionGwinnett County Superior Court Division 1 is seeking a Staff Attorney, effective January 4, 2027, to assist the Judge by conducting legal research, analysis, and document preparation related to cases, statutes, records, and related information.Essential DutiesPerforming and analyzing legal researchAnalyzing pleadings (mostly motions and briefs) and making recommendations regarding dispositionsDrafting, editing, and proofreading legal documentsSupporting the Court during conferences, motions hearings, and trialsProviding exceptional customer service when interacting with law enforcement personnel, county employees, elected officials, the general public, and/or other interested partiesMaintaining the Rules of Professional ConductCompleting other relevant duties as directed by the JudgePublic Speaking DutiesSpeaking duties are at the discretion of the judgeGradeThe grade for this position is 105.
