We combine a faith-based approach and like-minded local presence with the support and expertise of a trusted national organization.Learn more atwww.ncfgiving.com .Position OverviewThe purpose of this position is to serve as a member of the Gift Planning (GP) team and deliver gift, tax, estate, and charitable planning information through presentations, illustrations, and other deliverables to current and prospective givers, NCF and affiliate staff and various other constituents to encourage and facilitate tax-wise charitable giving solutions by performing the following duties personally. The Gift Planning Attorney will deliver such services in a customer-service centered, highly professional and technically accurate manner while operating within NCF's policies, processes, and structure and in coordination with NCF's other internal departments.This position is remote or hybrid and may allow for a blend of in‑office collaboration and remote work depending on location. We prefer the candidate to be local to the greater Atlanta area, though we value flexibility and are open to a remote candidate who is located near an NCF office in one of the following states: AR, CO, FL, IL, KS, KY, MN, MO, NC, PA, SC, TN, or WI. Occasional travel to the National and Local Offices is required, up to approximately 20% annually.Reports to: Manager, Gift Planning TeamManagement/Supervision: NoneDuties & ResponsibilitiesDelivery of Gift Planning ServicesCommunicates with givers, prospects, and National Christian Foundation (NCF) and affiliate staff and other constituents regarding gift, estate, and income tax planning issues upon referral from NCF relationship managers (RMs), whether national or localIn coordination with RMs, develops new and enhances existing relationships with major givers and their advisors by providing high quality direct contactConsistently delivers Gift Planning (GP) services with high technical competence in a customer-service friendly manner within the GP service standardsAnalyzes a broad range of federal and state laws and IRS regulations affecting gift, estate, and income tax planning, as well as the operation of not-for-profit organizationsDevelops, cultivates, and maintains strong relationships with other NCF and affiliate staff with whom GP Attorney regularly serves and interacts, particularly national and local RMs, Complex Gift Solutions team, and NCF's General Counsel teamIntentionally operates within GP Team structure and guidelines and NCF's policies, procedures, and processesDevelops GP proposals, deliverables, illustrations, templates, articles, etc., for personal use and use of GP TeamResearches technical legal issues related to charitable giving, as neededAssures proper and timely input of assigned giver activity in Salesforce, whether personally or as delegated to other GP support staffRegularly participates in weekly GP Team meetings, periodic GP R&D meetings, and other meetings as reasonably requestedExplores new environments for opportunities to expand reach of GP services consistent with NCF's policies, procedures, and processes in the furtherance of NCF's mission and visionSupports and assists with the development, organization, and implementation of a GP Team database of Christian estate, gift, and tax planning attorneys for referral purposesIn coordination and collaboration with NCF's MarCom team, assists, identifies, recommends, and develops GP marketing/communications offerings, including articles, concept sheets, GP proposals and presentations, other writings, online offerings, e-newsletters, etc.Meets periodically with Manager, Gift Planning Team to ensure proper coordination, communication, and collaboration of efforts within GP Team structure and achievement of GP and personal metrics and strategiesGP Education/Training for OthersIn collaboration with the GP Team and RMs, participates in development and implementation of training plans for NCF and various constituents which require involvement of GP teamParticipates in the training plan noted above as a presenter for the GP Team, as neededAssists with and supports development, use and organization of technical and other presentations by the GP Team for various constituencies, including sharing all presentations with the GP administrative team for proper storage and organizationParticipates in other areas of training as may be determinedTrainingDevelops and maintains an excellent working knowledge and understanding of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to gift, estate, and income tax planning to permit delivery of GP services offered by NCF with a high degree of technical accuracy and competencyMaintains good standing with various state or other bar associations, including maintenance of minimum CLE requirementsInforms Manager, Gift Planning Team of technical, legal, or other training needed to maintain competencies to achieve individual and departmental goals and objectivesDevelops and maintains an excellent working knowledge and understanding of NCF's innovative giving offeringsStays informed on economic, legal, regulatory, and compliance issues that may affect GPTimely and actively participates in periodic performance reviews and individual strategic planningOther Duties and ResponsibilitiesCarries out such other duties and responsibilities as may be directed or assigned by the Manager, Gift Planning TeamPersonal, Spiritual, and Professional DevelopmentDemonstrates a commitment to personal, spiritual and professional maturity through regular prayer, study of Scripture, and other Christian learning mechanismsActively integrates biblical principles in day-to-day behavior, exhibiting integrity and strong moral characterModels daily faithfulness to God and love and service to othersMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars, workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societiesExperience and SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have reliable attendance.
