Process Engineering Lead – Water/WastewaterGarver is seeking an experienced professional engineer (PE) to join the Water/Wastewater Team located in Atlanta, GA or Greenville, SC. The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for leading water and wastewater projects from conceptual planning to bid ready documents. This may include facility and equipment layouts, design calculations, process modeling, equipment vendor coordination, management and coordination of support discipline activities, and coordination with regional offices and regulatory agencies, as well as performing quality reviews of other teams' designs.ResponsibilitiesLeading a project team producing designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities and other ancillary infrastructure associated with water and wastewater projectsDesign of water and wastewater treatment processesDevelop design criteria from analysis of water and wastewater process modeling dataSupport of water and wastewater process evaluation, selection, and implementationHydraulic analysis of water and wastewater treatment plantsChemical storage and feed system designBlower sizing and blower system designPiping and instrumentation drawing productionSpecification and contract document preparationSupport of construction projectsOversee the development of construction drawings, and 3D modelsAssist the Process Group Leader in managing and mentoring teams, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring delivery of quality work products that adhere to Garver standards.Some travel may be required, as projects may require field work for site assessment of project locations and support during construction.RequirementsBachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/agricultural engineering from an ABET accredited program10+ years of direct design experience of water/wastewater treatment facilities.Experience with biological modeling softwares such as BioWin, GPS‑X, and Sumo.Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)Preferred AttributesMaster's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or related engineering discipline.Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of civil, structural, building mechanical, electrical, and Instrumentation and control disciplines.Strong communication skills as required to collaborate project designs with multi-discipline project teamsActive participation in local professional organizations.Experience using Bluebeam and MS Office products, including Excel, Outlook and WordBenefitsGarver offers its employees programs such as company‑paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
