Job DescriptionThe Staff Auditor/Accountant will perform desk reviews and on-site reviews of daycare centers and daycare homes, analyze attendance, enrollment, menu information, and financial information; and prepare written documents supporting professional decisions. Training in the child nutrition program area is provided so employees can feel confident working on client projects within their first 30 days.Essential Functions And Primary DutiesConduct desk reviews and various on-site audits independently with supervisionConduct research in order to determine compliance with relevant USDA or other government program regulationsConduct all phases of the audit including planning and research, provider calls, fieldwork, desk review work, reporting of findings, and other procedures as requiredReview applicable Federal and State policies and regulations associated with each specific audit type prior to performing the auditPrepare working papers to document scope and findings of auditDemonstrate excellence in communication skills, analysis, reporting, and process improvementMaintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information when analyzing materialMaintain thorough electronic documentationAdditional responsibilities as assignedPreferred QualificationsMust be able to travel within and out of state 75% based on client and business needs; all travel-related expenses incurred by Myers and Stauffer. Actual travel may vary week to week or month to month based on client needs, project timelines, and business priorities.
