What you will do Manage a branch systems operation team consisting of system technicians under general direction.Assign projects to lead systems specialists and allocate appropriate resources.Provide site coordination support on projects with high contract complexity.Ensure Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards.How you will do it Hire, retain, manage performance, and plan for the career development of direct reports. Prepare and deliver clear performance expectations, reviews and development plans. Train and mentor security system technicians. Facilitate strategic operations technical training or other branch operations training initiatives. Ensure delegated tasks are completed accurately, on time, within budget, and scope of the contract. Maintain communication between install and service project turnover. Coordinate and allocate resources between the lead systems specialist to ensure timely and cost‑effective installation and completion of projects. Recruit security system technicians with appropriate skills and competencies. Review and interpret contract terms and assist lead system specialists with site coordination tasks, represent Johnson Controls at site coordination meetings, coordinate subcontractors, and resolve conflicts. Evaluate the contractual scope of work and impacts of client‑issued bulletins, field directives, and scheduling changes. Identify opportunities for additional work through change orders. Assist the LSS in developing schedule of values for complex projects. Maintain long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants and subcontractors.What we look for Minimum of a technical associate's degree with 6 years of field experience or 8 years of equivalent related field and site coordination experience in the security industry.Relevant technical hands‑on experience and systems design and commissioning of digital security systems.Ability to communicate technical material to a non‑technical audience.Previous supervisory experience required.Solid coaching and interpersonal skills.Strong customer service skills.Knowledge of control theory and security systems.Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles and contracting.Salary & Benefits Hiring salary range: $85,200–115,000 (Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
