As a Buyer for Advanced Manufacturing (AM), you will be responsible for purchasing standard to complex equipment and materials. The Buyer will support our team working from our Greenville, SC or Corpus Christi, TX office. Candidates must be willing to accept an on‑site assignment.Essential ResponsibilitiesPurchasing assignments typically consist of lower‑value, non‑critical materials.Subcontracting assignments typically consist of lower‑value, non‑critical services, or support of other subcontract administrators as requested.Utilize established policies, procedures, systems, and tools.Advise stakeholders on creating requisitions and help them understand the overall procurement process.Administer purchase orders (POs), procurement agreements, and change orders (modifications).Review PO‑/subcontract‑related invoices and ensure that invoices are approved in accordance with terms and conditions agreed within the purchase order/subcontract.Evaluate facts surrounding PO‑/subcontract‑related problem areas and apply remedies to resolve them.Maintain purchasing/subcontracting documentation in a repository.Identify and advise management of PO‑/subcontract‑related risks.Prepare bidder lists, qualify bidders, prepare requests for quotation, and conduct bid evaluations.Participate in purchase orders/subcontracts negotiations. Work under close supervision. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility. Coordinate with project or departmental personnel in the performance of the purchasing/subcontracting activities.Required Qualifications1 or more years of experience in purchasing.Experience managing vendors, including vendor pre‑qualification management.Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to work and thrive in a fast‑paced, team environment.Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.A drive to solve complex and challenging problems.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, construction, supply chain, or operations management, or equivalent project experience.Experience in Specialized Manufacturing, Data Centers, or Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing projects.Benefits and CompensationOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
