Job Overview We are seeking an HVAC Hard‑Working Building Account Executive to support our New Construction business within JohnsonControls Building Technologies & Solutions. The role focuses on integrating JohnsonControls core products and OpenBlue technology into large new construction and renovation projects across vertical markets such as healthcare, airports, arenas, stadiums, university campuses, and more.Key Responsibilities Promote the JCI value proposition and provide comprehensive technology solutions to architects, owners, consultants, and contractors for new construction and renovation projects.Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships with key building owners and target accounts.Lead the sales process, qualifying prospects, developing proposals, and closing new sales opportunities while coordinating with field sales professionals.Leverage monthly checkpoints to gain progressive commitments from customers and expand the depth and breadth of offerings within each account.Develop and present competitive, high‑quality estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analyses.Negotiate value, address resistance, and secure agreement to close the sale.Use JCI sales tools (SalesForce, opportunity management plans, account plans, and dealmaker) to plan, document, and communicate progress.Collaborate with internal project design engineers to review specifications and incorporate technology solutions throughout the design phase.Provide support and communicate effectively with internal staff, including solutions and service sales organizations, to meet customer expectations.Travel within the assigned territory as required.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive field sales experience at the C‑level.Minimum of 3 years of experience in the building technologies industry.Strong construction industry knowledge and understanding of the construction process.Demonstrated ability to assess building technology needs, design, and present turnkey solutions.Experience in traditional plan & spec bid or design‑build markets.Strong initiative, interpersonal communication skills, and proven ability to influence at key levels.Proven experience managing sophisticated construction projects.Ability to travel within the assigned territory.Preferred Qualifications MSc or MBA degree.Solution selling experience in one or more integrated low‑voltage technology competencies (BAS, security, fire, audio‑visual, nurse call, structured cabling, specialty low‑voltage/communications systems).Existing long‑term relationships with building owners, architects, consultants, and contractors.Compensation Hiring salary range: $80,000‑110,000 with a competitive sales incentive plan based on volume, margin, quarterly, and annual performance.
