Position: Building Automation Technician ILocation: Atlanta, GAWhat will you do?This position is responsible for learning how to understand project/service requirements such as specifications, standards, schedules, and safety. This employee participates in project/service activities on‑site related to the coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems. This employee reports to the Construction Manager.ResponsibilitiesAssist with control commissioning and startup of new control systems to ensure proper operationDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair control systems wiring, hardware, and softwareDiagnose communication problems with control devices and other componentsCreate, load, test, and tune system databasesInstall, replace, and recommission control systems devices, equipment, and softwareCoordinate activities of subcontractors as requiredProvide on‑site training to customers as neededProvide emergency and warranty services as requiredCreate and maintain test records and as‑built documentationConform to project site safety and housekeeping requirementsAssist and support in basic field startup using standard startup and checkout processAssist senior‑level technicians and/or project managers in providing input to maintain as‑built markups for field‑directed changes to design documentationAssist project manager with material delivery, material logistics, and lot management proficiency in the usage of Design 360 and Prometheus apps and any other applicable engineering toolsQualificationsThree to five years of trade and/or relevant work experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and customer skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Programs: Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Access, PowerPointBasic understanding of networksGood conceptual aptitudeGood understanding or desire to pursue a career in building automation (HVAC and/or other building systems)Product or industry knowledge highly desiredThe position will be posted until filled.Schneider Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
