The role includes financial, personnel, operations, facilities and practice aspects of division management, ensuring compliance with AU, MCG, and AU policies, and communicating procedures to faculty and staff.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities include, but are not limited to:FinancialMonitoring, maintaining and reconciling all financial activity within the Department.Providing financial analysis to support operations; preparing and approving expenditures, tracking budgets, resolving account problems, and ensuring compliance with state appropriations and grant account policies.Acting as liaison for all financial and personnel activities: contracts, service agreements, educational development, travel, faculty research.Eliminating negative budgets through forecasting and proactive account management.Reviewing payroll and effort reports, preparing ePARs, approving expense paperwork, and managing p‑card and Health eShop purchases.Preparing monthly reconciled account reports and collaborating with the Budget Office on the annual BOR Budget and Wellstar MCG Health budget submissions.OperationsAssisting senior administrators with high-level decisions.Supervising the Administrative Assistant 2 and Business Operations Specialists; approving leave requests and reviewing staff data for Wellstar MCG Health.Managing medical college projects, forms, and inventories; overseeing faculty and staff recruitment and onboarding paperwork.ResearchWorking with PIs on grant forms and research financial transactions; reviewing and approving eSPRoute and iLAB entries; supporting business operations specialists.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and at least three years of administrative management experience.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAbility to work independently.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software and databases.Detail oriented with strong prioritization skills.Shift / Salary / BenefitsShift: Days Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (exempt level may require outside normal hours).Pay Band: B13 – Salary Range: $68,500 – $71,925 annually (commensurate with qualifications).Benefits include health, dental and life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or optional retirement plan), vacation time, sick leave, 13 paid holidays and Tuition Assistance Program after 6 months of employment.Conditions of EmploymentAll candidates must pass a background check.
