AufgabenJob Overview:Mercedes-Benz North America (MBNAC) is the shared services organization for operating entities, across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. The organization provides common core function oversight in the areas of financial, tax, treasury, legal, external affairs, security, audit, investigations, HR, and payroll services, supporting 15+ entities and approximately 14,000 employees in the region.Treasury USA & Canada manages all Treasury activities in the USA via MBNAC and in Canada via Mercedes-Benz Finance Canada Inc. (MBFCI). Treasury accesses the capital markets including commercial paper, ABS, EMTN and private placement in both the USA and Canadian markets. Treasury maintains in each country an in-house bank cash pool and manages risk through foreign exchange and interest rate risk management products. As part of its Liquidity Management tasks Treasury drafts a daily Liquidity Status Report and a monthly Funding Plan. In addition, Treasury performs Corporate Finance tasks such as monitoring subsidiary capital structure, M&A projects, trade finance, and corporate guarantees.Manage the demand notes program. Demand notes are retail debt securities issued to third parties through a Reg. D Section 506 private placement where investors maintain balances in online accounts and receive interest in return. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Investor communication and supportRelationship management (internal departments and vendor)ComplianceOperational managementProgram and Portfolio reportingInter‑departmental coordination for demand notes supportResponsibilities:Manage service provider relationship and service quality. Work with Bank and Verification vendors to understand investor concerns and focus on improving processes to ensure our investors receive an investment experience that aligns with the Mercedes‑Benz Brand. In addition, work with marketing vendor to coordinate marketing efforts and ensure that our website is updated with the latest information for investors (rates, financial statements, etc.).Support day‑to‑day operations of the demand notes program with completion of regular tasks such as verifying enrollment processed, answering customer inquiries and completing ad‑hoc assignments as requested.Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive program growth and visibility. Design and deploy materials that are essential to drive investor engagement.Identify, develop, and implement solutions to automate operational processes. This includes the automation of data files and reporting workflows between banking partners, custodians, and third‑party vendors to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.Support treasury and investment management activities including investment products aimed at preserving principal and maximizing interest income, funding of the daily short‑term liquidity forecast and execution of the USD $5bn/CAD $2bn commercial paper funding program.Ensure that investors are compliant with SEC and internal guidelines that govern our program.Prepare internal reporting on demand notes budget, investors, facility size, account dynamics, behaviors, etc.Professional development and training.QualifikationenQualifications:Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.This position requires a minimum of 5 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, treasury operations, financial markets or risk management.Experience in a financial institution, corporate treasury or regulatory environment is highly preferred.Experience with financial platforms such as Global Treasury Systems (GTS), online banking software, SAP, etc.Fluent in English.Education:Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Computer/Information Science, Economics, Finance, International Relations/Business, Mathematics, or statistics.Additional Knowledge:Demonstrate a strong interest in developing expertise in treasury and investment management functions, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, investment strategies and treasury systems.Analytical Skills:Ability to collect data and establish facts and identify trends and variancesAbility to integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexityAbility to review and interpret and evaluate statistical informationProject Management Skills:Ability to develop plans/projects from conceptualization to implementationAbility to organize workflow and direct tasks as well as document milestones and ROI's and resolve problemsTechnology and Other Skills:Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PP, etc.)Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.Proficient Knowledge and understanding of the implications of key financial indicators and controls and assessing impact of financial information.Knowledge of fundamental business practices, concepts and techniques to protect and preserve assets and/or minimize/control loss, such as avoidance, loss prevention and reduction, retention, grouping of exposure units, and transfer.
