Construction & Capital Projects DirectorGA-AtlantaMar 30, 2026Pay information not providedResponsibilitiesProgram / Project ManagementWork with industry‑leading consultants, construction managers, subcontractors, and vendors in a collaborative fashion to delivery high quality programsProvide direct support to the individual team leads and project managers overseeing design and construction projectsManage and organize workload distribution among the team to ensure project deadlines are metUnderstand and enforce detailed policies and procedures that project managers must follow when managing projectsReview development of all capital funding packages for projects to ensure scope is in line with existing standardsReview all budgeting and understand pricing variances across different marketsPartner with Procurement to ensure competitive pricing on all contracts and policy is followed on bidding guidelinesWork with team leads and project managers to reduce costs on projects being submitted through scope and specification changesParticipate in the annual capital planning/budgeting process and develop budgets for planned projectsResponsible for ensuring proper governance related to the approval of every commitment, invoice, and change order generated by project management teams and that they meet policy guidelinesResponsible for coordinating vendor management to ensure proper coverage across platformFunction as technical support for building infrastructure projectsOrganizational / People ManagementWork with internal partners including executives across the business on new projects and provide project support on new dealsProvide resources to support all projects, from minor moves and remodels to major renovations as well as infrastructure projectsIdentify the need for supplemental PM resources when needed to achieve project goalsResponsible for the recruiting, training, and development of project managers including 3rd party providersDevelop and implement operational plans, actions and programs in support of long-term business objectivesAssists in the development of policies, procedures, and programsEnjoy benefits that take care of what mattersAt AIG, our people are our greatest asset.
