(SME) has a new full-time Civil Engineering CAD Technician position in our Marietta, Georgia office.Position Summary The CAD Technician reports to a principal of the firm and participates in a diverse and dynamic portfolio of civil engineering projects, many of which involve innovative designs for environmentally sensitive areas.Your Impact The CAD Technician has an exceptional opportunity to work on a wide variety of civil engineering assignments that may include solid waste management, stormwater systems, environmental compliance and permitting, remediation, and water and wastewater systems.As an SME CAD Technician you will be responsible for:Drafting civil engineering plans using AutoCAD SoftwareAssisting civil engineers with permittingDrafting topographic surveys using AutoCAD SoftwareContacting local municipalities to obtain utility atlas informationComplying with all safety policies, practices, and proceduresMaintaining a high level of organizational skills to keep tasks on schedulePerforming other duties as assignedYour strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal) are important.
