Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast.GMC is seeking an Architect with a higher education focus to lead our continued growth in our Atlanta, GA office. The individual serving in this role will provide practice related strategic and critical thinking, team leadership, and will serve as a liaison to the community with regards to project delivery, collaboration, and business development. The Architect with a higher education focus will be responsible for management of the local design studio including, but not limited to: (a) Mentoring staff and coordination of the project team and work assignments; (b) consulting with clients and developing relationships with future clients; (c) participating in the development of design solutions, advising staff on technical decisions, and advising during project bidding and construction including coordination with reviewing agencies, and (d) preparing and administering project schedules and budgets.
