This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations while minimizing environmental impacts and promoting sustainable practices.The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction stormwater best management practices (BMPs), erosion and sedimentation control requirements, and regulatory permitting processes.Key ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Permitting & ComplianceOversee environmental permitting activities for water programs.Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.Conduct environmental audits and assessments.Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.Regulatory Knowledge & ImplementationEnsure compliance with:Federal Clean Water ActGeorgia Water Quality ActGeorgia NPDES Storm Water Discharge General PermitsGeorgia Erosion & Sedimentation ActInterpret and apply regulatory requirements to construction and operational projects.Stormwater & Erosion Control OversightApply working knowledge of:Construction Stormwater BMPsErosion and Sedimentation ControlsSupport project teams in implementing compliant environmental controls.Stakeholder CollaborationWork closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.Provide environmental guidance during project planning and execution.Communicate compliance requirements clearly and effectively.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in:Environmental ScienceEnvironmental EngineeringRelated field3–7 years of experience in environmental permitting and compliance.Strong knowledge of federal and Georgia‑specific environmental regulations.Experience with stormwater management and erosion control requirements.Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsGeorgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission certification as:InspectorDesign ProfessionalPlan ReviewerCore CompetenciesRegulatory compliance expertiseEnvironmental risk assessmentStormwater & BMP knowledgeAudit & corrective action planningStakeholder engagementDetail‑oriented analytical mindsetWork EnvironmentLocated at GPC Headquarters in Atlanta.Hybrid schedule:Monday–Thursday onsite (HQ or project site)Friday remoteTravel typically 10–25%, with occasional higher travel periods depending on project needs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
