About the Role The Senior Legal Counsel will support GTM Industries' attorneys, focusing on net new, renewal, and expansion transactions for Workday's largest Healthcare customers and managing customer lifecycle from a GTM legal perspective. The role collaborates with sales, services, finance, and contract operations to drive growth and improve customer experience.Responsibilities Negotiate and draft technology transactions, including subscription, business associate, data processing, and professional services agreements, assignments, amendments, and add‑on transactions.Provide proactive strategic advice and guidance to internal teams regarding business and legal issues, supporting sales to bring deals to a timely close.Implement legal efficiencies to support the Healthcare business unit and improve contract processes and operations.Build and improve contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and provide internal training to sales, contract operations, and the broader GTM legal team on creating a frictionless customer contract experience.Basic Qualifications J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one state bar.7+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm or in‑house/Healthcare legal department.CIPP/E certification and/or deep understanding of sophisticated global data privacy laws and principles.Other Qualifications Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills, comfortable working with leadership in fast‑paced customer‑facing transactions, preferably in enterprise software/SaaS.Experience negotiating contracts in the Healthcare sector.Ability to influence, advise, and advocate for the business's interests.Exceptional written and oral communication skills, enabling effective communication with legal and non‑legal audiences.Outstanding judgment and ability to advise clients in an effective and creative manner.Strong relationship‑building, cross‑functional collaboration, and project management skills.Strategic focus, critical thinking, problem‑solving approach, and proactive risk analysis.Willingness and aptitude to learn and utilize new technologies, including artificial intelligence tools, to enhance efficiency in legal tasks.Great teammate with a sense of humor.Pay Transparency Primary Location: Atlanta, GA – Base pay range: $169,300 – $253,900 USD.Additional US locations – Base pay range: $160,800 – $285,700 USD.If performed in Colorado, the pay range is $169,300 – $253,900 USD.The application deadline is 06/19/2026.Equal Opportunity Employer Workday is an equal‑opportunity employer.We consider qualified applicants regardless of age, ancestry, color, gender, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, medical condition, mental or physical disability, national origin, protected family care or medical leave status, race, religion, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.We also consider applicants with arrest and conviction records as applicable by law.#J-18808-Ljbffr
