Role descriptionArcadis is seeking a full‑time Construction Inspector to join our Construction Management Team in Atlanta, Georgia. This position offers an opportunity to work on municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, electrical/instrumentation, civil, or other construction projects.Role accountabilitiesThe Construction Inspector will observe and inspect construction work performed by contractors, perform punch‑list inspections, review drawings and specifications and other technical documents, prepare detailed daily activity and progress reports/photos, and participate in project schedule and contractor invoice reviews.Maintain quality assurance requirements and approach and monitor code compliance issues.Inspect and determine deviations from general compliance with contract documents; inform the contractor of required corrections.Review submittals and other construction documents and recommend technical solutions.Attend and participate in construction meetings, safety meetings/updates, and project site coordination meetings.Monitor and document contractor resource utilization for field changes, time and material work and assist with negotiation of basic field construction changes.Verify equipment and materials installation for payment purposes.Maintain payment quantity documentation.Perform mathematical calculations as necessary during inspection activities.Ensure Arcadis' project safety guidelines are being met during daily inspections.Local travel to project sites, client meetings, and construction oversight.Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Qualifications3 years' experience in water distribution/sewer collection piping installation and/or repair.Key Skills & AttributesIdentifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to problems, high level of math aptitude, ability to multi‑task and solid time‑management skills, proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook). Employee must work year‑round in various weather conditions.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of civil or utility construction inspection experience, strong background in performing civil and mechanical inspection activities on small to large infrastructure projects, NASSCO certifications (ITCP, PACP, MACP), Water Distribution System and/or Wastewater Collection System certifications, ACI or NICET certifications, erosion and sediment control certification, OSHA training (OSHA‑10, Confined Space Entry, Trenching and Shoring), active professional association participation.BenefitsArcadis offers benefits for full‑time and part‑time positions.
