Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced BMS Control Systems Programmer to install, program, commission, maintain, and support Building Management System (BMS) solutions across commercial and industrial projects.
This role works closely with clients, project teams, contractors, and service providers to deliver high-quality automation and control solutions while ensuring compliance with quality and information security standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, program, and commission Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Work with platforms including TREND Controls, Schneider Electric, Ignition, and Niagara
• Design and implement building automation and control system solutions
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex Level 3 technical issues
• Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for installed systems
• Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, and system records
• Prepare technical communications and security audit documentation
• Coordinate with operators, contractors, and service providers to ensure successful project delivery
• Manage project schedules, assigned tasks, and deliverables
• Support pre-sales and sales teams with technical expertise and proposal development
• Present technical and commercial proposals to clients
• Participate in pricing discussions and project planning activities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project lifecycles
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards and ISO 27001 Information Security Standards
Required Qualifications
Building Automation & Controls
• Extensive experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Strong knowledge of automation and control systems
• Experience with PLC programming
• Experience integrating building automation technologies
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and measurement schedules
Software & Technical Tools
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Visio
• Presto
• Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Experience
• BIM (Building Information Modeling)
• Microsoft Project
Experience Requirements
• 8-10+ years of experience in building automation, controls, construction, or related technical environments
• Experience supporting large-scale commercial or industrial projects
• Proven experience with BMS programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Experience supporting technical sales efforts, proposal development, and client presentations
