Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom Assistant to support daily mail operations. This position involves sorting and distributing mail, preparing outgoing correspondence, assisting with mail-insertion equipment, and maintaining accuracy and safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, early morning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
Prepare outgoing mail, including letters and bulk materials.
Assist the Operator in running the bill inserter machine (training will be provided).
Maintain accuracy, quality, and safety standards at all times.
Assist with overflow duties, such as managing office supplies or maintaining mailroom equipment.
Perform basic administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mailroom area.
Load and unload trays of mail onto pallets (must be able to lift up to 20 lbs).
Operate a pallet jack safely and efficiently.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support smooth mailroom operations.
Work Schedule
Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM 10:00 AM
Duration: Approximately 60 days (temporary assignment)
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods in a noisy environment (hearing protection provided).
