Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, Memphis, Los Angeles, Missouri, Indianapolis, Chicago, Minnesota
Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Sales Representative to join a fast-growing medical technology company commercializing an innovative procedural platform designed to improve clinical workflow, procedural consistency, and patient outcomes.
This is not a traditional territory sales role. We are looking for a builder-someone excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of a commercial organization while driving adoption of a disruptive technology across health systems, physician groups, and procedural departments.
The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, enjoys creating structure where it doesn't yet exist, and wants to play a meaningful role in developing the sales strategies, physician engagement programs, and best practices that will scale with the organization.
This position requires extensive travel (approximately 80%) and a willingness to spend significant time in hospitals, procedural environments, physician offices, and customer sites. The successful candidate will serve as both a commercial leader and trusted clinical partner, helping expand utilization, develop new physician users, and identify opportunities for growth across existing and new departments.
Key Responsibilities Drive Adoption and Utilization - Partner with physicians, clinicians, and hospital stakeholders to drive ongoing utilization and procedural adoption.
- Identify opportunities to increase disposable product usage within existing accounts.
- Support customer onboarding, implementation, and long-term program success.
- Develop physician champions and cultivate relationships with early adopters.
Expand Within Existing Accounts - Introduce solutions into new departments, service lines, and clinical settings.
- Identify and develop new physician users within existing customer accounts.
- Create account expansion strategies that increase utilization and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with customers to build sustainable procedural programs.
Build Commercial Infrastructure - Help define and refine sales processes, adoption strategies, and commercialization best practices.
- Provide field insights that influence future commercial strategy, training programs, and customer engagement models.
- Contribute to the development of scalable playbooks for future team growth.
- Serve as a voice of the customer and physician within the organization.
Clinical and Customer Engagement - Deliver education and training to physicians, clinicians, and staff.
- Provide procedural support and customer follow-up as needed.
- Navigate complex hospital environments and multidisciplinary stakeholder groups.
- Work cross-functionally with commercial leadership, marketing, clinical, and product teams to drive customer success.
Territory Management - Manage a large geographic region with significant travel requirements.
- Maintain a consistent presence within customer accounts.
- Develop strategic territory plans focused on utilization growth and account expansion.
- Forecast opportunities and provide regular business updates.
Ideal Candidate Profile Required Experience - Medical device, healthcare technology, procedural, or clinical sales experience.
- Proven success driving adoption and utilization of innovative products or therapies.
- Experience working directly with physicians and clinical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence behavior change and gain adoption of new technologies or workflows.
- History of growing existing accounts and expanding product utilization.
Desired Characteristics - Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building.
- Comfortable operating without extensive infrastructure or established processes.
- High level of grit, resilience, and accountability.
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Team-first mentality with low ego and high coachability.
- Resourceful problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Growth-oriented professional eager to contribute beyond their defined role.
What Success Looks Like - Driving sustained utilization growth within existing customer accounts.
- Expanding adoption among new physicians and clinical stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to introduce solutions into additional departments and service lines.
- Building strong customer relationships that lead to long-term program success.
- Helping shape the future commercial playbook for a rapidly growing organization.
- Becoming a trusted partner to both customers and internal leadership.
Travel Requirements - Approximately 80% travel.
- Frequent overnight travel required.
- Monday-Friday field presence expected.
- Ability to support customer training, physician education, and account development activities throughout the territory.
Why This Opportunity? This role is ideal for someone who wants more than a territory to manage. It is an opportunity to help build a company, influence commercial strategy, create scalable processes, and play a meaningful role in bringing innovative technology to market. If you are energized by growth, ambiguity, and the chance to leave your fingerprint on a developing organization, this could be the right next step.
