Role Overview
As a Maintenance Controller, you are responsible for ensuring aircraft within the operated fleet are maintained in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Acting as a delegate of the Director of Maintenance (DOM), you will monitor aircraft status, oversee maintenance events, coordinate vendors, and ensure proper documentation before return-to-service approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute designated functions of the Director of Maintenance (DOM)
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Monitor out-of-service aircraft and ensure timely repairs
- Assign and oversee maintenance personnel and vendors
- Create work packages for scheduled, unscheduled, and line maintenance
- Coordinate and document maintenance events
- Communicate aircraft status to impacted departments
- Review aircraft records and maintenance tracking systems
- Ensure proper documentation prior to return-to-service approval
- Coordinate timely procurement and shipment of required aircraft parts
- Collaborate with Maintenance Leadership, Flight Operations, and vendors
Qualifications
- Valid and current Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Part 121, 135, or 91 operations
- Strong regulatory knowledge and compliance focus
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
